The Senior Software Engineering Manager holds a pivotal position within our client's product development team, driving growth and innovation in their software solutions. This role entails close collaboration with development, project management, clinical, and product teams to ensure that our software products not only meet but continuously surpass all functional and quality benchmarks.

A Day in the Life of Our Senior Software Manager:

  • Steering and nurturing multiple teams to design and develop advanced software solutions for medical robotic platforms, fostering their growth and development.
  • Acting as a catalyst between diverse cross-functional teams to define product requirements comprehensively and innovate solutions in a dynamic environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Serving as the bridge between Robotics Software, Firmware, UI, and System Software domains, fostering collaboration and synergy among teams.
  • Leading and actively participating in design reviews, dFMEA, and other risk mitigation activities, promoting a culture of learning and adaptation.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to engineering Subject Matter Experts/leaders within technical teams and across functions, empowering them to expand their skills and capabilities.
  • Championing hands-on software development for a robotic system, driving technological advancement and scalability.
  • Designing and implementing scalable software architecture using cutting-edge concepts and design patterns, fostering innovation and adaptability.
  • Establishing and reinforcing standards within the team for SOLID design principles and test-driven development practices, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Developing and implementing code quality benchmarks and tools to enhance engineering efficiency and drive growth.
About You:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in complex hardware and software environments, at least 5 of those in Medical Device companies or working on Medical Device products.
  • Proficiency and familiarity with FDA Quality System regulations, using compliance as a springboard for innovation and advancement.
  • Five years or more of experience leading software development teams to success, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field, coupled with a passion for continuous learning and development.
  • Demonstrated prowess in people management, leveraging recruitment, team building, and motivation strategies to foster high-performing engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies or waterfall development practices, adapting and evolving processes for maximum growth and efficiency.
  • A natural inclination towards creativity and innovation, using each challenge as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to inspire and motivate teams, fostering a culture of openness, collaboration, and growth.
