Job Description:

As a Systems Analyst/Operations Analyst you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and security. You will play a crucial role in supporting our team and end-users, resolving technical issues, and implementing best practices to enhance system performance.

*This is a hybrid-office position and requires in-office attendance two days per week.

Applicants may be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area, or the Twin Cities area of MN.*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to and resolve end-user IT support requests promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and IT policies.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's data and infrastructure.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve system efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT-related topics.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical system issues.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux-based operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and firewalls.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and task scripting.
  • Knowledge of database management and SQL.
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ability to configure and maintain hardware, including servers and storage devices.
  • Security knowledge, including implementing and maintaining security measures, patch management, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for system health and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent professional written, verbal, listening and communication skills.
  • Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, employees, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors. Lead by positive example.
  • Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
  • Actively listens and is mindful of the role body language, gestures and other nonverbal actions can play in communication.
