Duties: Maintain financial records of Municipal Court fines and collections. Reconcile accounts, prepare reports, and examine and correct accounting transactions. Monitor spending requirements, assist with collections, participate with departmental budget and maintain various ledgers. Provide technical assistance & training to division staff relating to accounting. Assist with computerization within the accounting system. Be innovative in the field of accounting. Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate financial and statistical records.
Qualifications: Knowledge of state & local laws regulations as applies to government accounting practices. Three to four years of experience in accounting. Ability to work independently without supervision. An associate degree with major course work in Accounting or a related field.
