BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to implement and manage the VH92-A Mission Communications System Digital Ecosystem strategy. The selected candidate will manage a portfolio of Digital Ecosystem System Engineering (DESE), Data Architecture and Analytics, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Capability Development, Software Development, Digital Transformation and Process Development teams. Will operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined engineering and management policies and procedures. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of the next generation capabilities.

Will provide direct support to a national security-critical system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment and will help shape the quality and impact of Risk, Issue, and Opportunity processes and deliverables and other Program Management-related products from across the directorate and functional areas. Will help educate and equip the government customer to acquire, operate, and maintain an entire suite of communication systems and will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Naval Air Warfare Center organization that is responsible to design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world's safest, most secure, and effective communication system, on-schedule. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Limited relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software, engineering, or related field

At least 6 years of progressive technical experience

Familiarity with program management principles, including cost, schedule, and performance assessment

Experience in leading digital transformation processes, building integrated DE toolsets and training DE workforce

Familiarity with systems engineering topics, including architecture development and requirements management, or willingness to learn Model Based Systems Engineering

Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work

Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills, briefing and providing reports to executive-level leader

Must have active Secret security clearance
