Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Custodian performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and neat facility, including the plant, offices, auxiliary buildings and grounds.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Clean maintenance shopClean PressesSnow removal at entrance and exit areas as neededReplace light bulbs and do minor repairs around plantUtilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.'s owned by your position. Daily Vacuum all front offices first thing in the morningEmpty all garbage cansMop up any oil and water around pressesClean and mop restroom areas and check supplies in all restroomsBreak down empty boxes and remove to dumpsterCheck rest rooms at end of shiftClean break room Weekly Mop front entrance and hallClean glass doorsSweep or mop shipping areaVacuum, sweep, mop rear officesMow lawn when neededSweep warehouseSweep, mop, in tool rom, model shop and R&D areaCheck First Aid supplies at various locations around plant Monthly Clean windowsCheck fire extinguishers for serviceabilityCheck AEDReview of all procedures related to your job per "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in "HR LG 01 Training Matrix"Perform other duties as assigned.Regular and punctual attendance.Follow all Company policies and procedures.Note: This is not an inclusive list of duties and responsibilitiesRequirementsSKILL REQUIREMENTS:Read, write & speak EnglishAble to follow written & oral instructionsQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 18 years oldGeneral knowledge of cleaning and grounds-keeping techniquesPhysically able to perform physical duties listedMust be able to work without direct supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENT:The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sit or stand as needed.Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.Proper lifting techniques required.Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
