Responsibilities: The Engineer will analyze internal and NASA driven engineering changes for distribution to the larger SLS Boeing Avionics group Process engineering change impacts, to include details on cost and schedule impacts Be the Avionics focal for processing NASA directives and provide official responses of acceptance to the relevant program boards Provide official board representation for Avionics concerning the “kickoff" of all program level changes and once fully vetted, provide official responses of approval to the relevant boards Brief management, in multiple forums, on engineering change issues/concerns/helps needed, to include providing weekly email briefs of rollups of Avionics changes and their statuses Provide, as needed, support for Avionics engineers and management in all aspects of engineering changes and related questions Provide, as needed and as able, support for other related efforts to include Risk/Issues/Opportunities, Request for Proposal processing, Engineering Release tracking, etc.

Required: This position requires the ability to obtain a Customer/NASA background check for which requires US Citizenship. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. Familiarity with common configuration tools (like Windchill/APDM and SharePoint). The applicant must have experience with configuration management. The successful applicant must have strong communication skills, be able to work successfully with a diverse group of engineers, and are capable of working in a high-paced/multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple activities concurrently. The applicant must be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Desired: Experience in System Engineering. Experience with avionics hardware and software. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
