GENERAL SUMMARY: The Endoscopy L.P.N. is accountable for the quality of nursing care rendered to patients. The L.P.N. role includes, but is not limited to:
* Reviewing patient’s medical record and documenting patient data clearly and concisely, to ensure continuity in the provision and coordination of patient care.
* Pre-procedure history and administering I.V. drip
* Providing multi-dimensional care for assigned patients, assuming a peri-operative role.
* Adhering to all Practice and Unit policies and procedures.
* Communicating any concerns about patient and/or patient safety directly to the Nurse Manager and/or the Physician, as appropriate.
* Acting as a resource for others.
* Serving as a mentor for other nurses.
* Collaborating with Office staff, peers, Nurse Manager and Physicians.
* Responding to emergency situations to promote optimal patient outcomes by recognizing changes in the patient’s health status.
* Participating in continuing education and achieving/maintaining certification.
* Monitoring performance by participating in performance improvement activities.

*Education & Experience*
* Valid NYS licensure as a L.P.N.
* Experience in outpatient care/endoscopy preferred, not required
* IV experience preferred, not required

*Required Knowledge and Skill:*
* BLS certification
* New graduates welcome
* Clinical assessment skills, flexibility

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
