Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinist for a project located in San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install, Maintain & Repair Ships Propulsion & Auxiliary Systems; Steam, Turbine, Electrical & Propulsion Systems, Rudders & Steering Gear Elevators & Navy Systems
- Install, Repair & Maintain Ships Fluid Systems including; Pumps, Compressors, Purifiers, Heat Exchangers, Actuators & Valves
- Test Equipment Ensure Systems Meets Specification
- Install & Test Various Shop Equipment
- Assembly & Installation of Complex Mechanical Systems
- Other Tasks as Assigned
- 3+ Years Relevant Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must Pass Drug Screen & Background Check
- Must have OSHA 10 Maritime & Fire-watch Certification
- Must have Respirator Fit Completed Prior to Completion
- Must be Available for All Shifts
- Ability to Read Blue Prints, Interpret Mechanical Drawings, Written Instructions & Technical Manuals
- Ability to Read & Comprehend Hydraulic & Pneumatic Diagrams
- Proficient in Use of Precision Measurement Tools
- Must ave Shop Mathematical Skills with an Understanding of Geometry, Trigonometry, Work with Decimals & Fractions
- Ability to Use Hand & Power Tools & Machining Tools
