As the Data Warehouse Lead you will be responsible to design, develop and support business intelligence solutions across the enterprise. The position requires a broad business perspective and an ability to step into multiple roles. Lead the design and implementation of new data marts and data warehouses to allow our internal BI tools and consumer-facing analytics tools to scale with our customer base. You will work the development teams and business users to ensure the technical solutions meet the business needs, and are developed and implemented with high quality following agreed upon standards. You will work closely with key stakeholders and customers for business requirements, status updates and strategic initiatives.

This candidate should have a technical background in programming and will be expected to read, architect and write code. role primarily leverages Oracle database technology, but other BI tools like Jaspersoft and or Pentaho and source systems may also be involved in the solutions.

Required Skills

Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into proposed long term solutions. Collaborate with IT team members as well as functional business and operations personnel. Architect BI solutions utilizing Oracle DB (version 12c) tailoring solutions for Customer Facing Reports, Management dashboards, and Operational Business Intelligence. Design new data models, reporting structures to support reporting in data warehouse. Expertise with at least one ETL tool preferably open source like Pentaho or Jaspersoft/Talend. Configure and optimize the BI environment - relational, OLAP layers, and data migration extract transform and load processes. Define BI framework model, semantic layers and Metadata repositories to support reporting and administration. Troubleshoot BI problems and tune for performance. Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues. Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices. Develop and manage BI end user presentation layer training and documentation. Provide ongoing 2nd level support for related applications and technologies. Demonstrate technical leadership in all aspects including development, architecture, testing and deployment. Collaborate with Senior Technical subject matter experts in the technical assessment of new designs and development work Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced changing environment and priorities Motivation to take ownership of tasks and the determination to drive them to completion

Required Experience

Should have completed a 4 year degree program in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field. An MBA is desired. 8+ years of experience architecting, developing and supporting the implementation of BI solutions: Expertise with the design of BI staging areas, warehouse, cubes and reporting. Strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures. Able to perform Data Warehouse tuning, collecting statistics, and analyzing SQL code performance. Ability to write stored procedures and perform optimization. Strong analytical skills and an ability to present and communicate data, trends, insights and recommendations. Must be able to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
