Description

The Tax Accountant III exercises control over the preparation and maintenance of tax records and information used in completing tax returns.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares the most complex tax returns and related reports and analysis.
  • May oversee tax audits, responds to tax auditors and keeps senior management informed of audit status.
  • Researches tax laws and communicates conclusions to management.
  • Implements procedures to comply with new tax laws.
  • Assumes most complex tax research, tax planning and tax compliance responsibilities.
  • Responsible for reviewing other colleagues' compliance work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferably in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • Analytics experience in a banking environment with comprehensive exposure to the workings of a bank's balance sheet and income statement
  • Strong detail orientation and communication skills
