The Story Behind the Name

As one of the most sought-after breeders in the nation, the Antonacci family has been synonymous in five Hambletonian Champions with some of the greatest racehorses the sport has ever laid eyes upon, making them well known on harness racing's biggest stages. To reflect the proud history, they selected GreatHorse, English for "Gran Cavallo," the title of Leonardo Da Vinci's magnificent horse statue.

Retail Attendant

Overview:

The Golf Shop Retail Attendant at GreatHorse is instrumental in creating a positive, memorable, and enjoyable golf experience. This position is tasked with greeting players, displaying, demonstrating, and selling golf merchandise and always creating a welcoming environment in the Golf Shop. The employees must be outgoing, pleasant, and willing to work with others. The ideal candidate must be driven, eager to learn, compassionate, empathetic, and embody the GreatHorse values.

Your Role:
  • Spread hospitality and goodwill among all members, guests, and fellow staff
  • Maintain a world-class golf shop appearance and shopping experience
  • Assist with displaying, receiving, and merchandising all products
  • Ensure the golf shop is always well-stocked and tidy
  • Assist in special order placements
  • Maintain knowledge of golf merchandise and promote sales
  • Assist with inventory
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Process sales transactions accurately using Point-of-Sale
  • Experience in retail is preferred but not required
  • Schedule tee times, cancellations and modifications
  • Support other golf shop operations as needed
Your Skills:
  • Previous merchandising experience is a plus
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient technological skills including point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Good oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Experience in retail is preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise.
  • Knowledge of the golf industry is preferred but not required.
  • Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
