Join our team today as a Hospice Aide to positively impact the experience of our patients and families.Position SummaryAs a Hospice Aide, you will provide personal care, supportive services, education, and light household duties in a plan of care developed by the Registered Nurse Case Manager. You will communicate and track changes to reflect assigned duties set by the RN while working with the entire Inter-Disciplinary Team.Principal Accountabilities Provide patients the attention needed to create a sanitary and orderly environmentAssist with personal care including bathing, nail and skin care, oral hygiene, and toiletingCommunicate identified needs and potential solutions to the interdisciplinary teamTake vital signsParticipate in staff meetings, educational programs and community eventsQualificationsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule, to include some evenings and weekends as neededAbility to apply sound or good judgment to carry out instructionsHigh integrity, including maintenance of confidential informationValid driver's license and auto liability insuranceEducation, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.State-specific certificationsConnecticut- Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the CT board of nursing.Maine - Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the ME board of nursing.Massachusetts - Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the MA board of nursing.New Hampshire - LNA certification by NH board of nursing.New Jersey - Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the NJ board of nursing.Compassus, including all Compassus affiliates, complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
