Plant/Facilities Engineer

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a plastics manufacturing client in Chino, CA who is looking to hire a Plant Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within facilities maintenance and engineering. Primarily, this candidate will have a experience working with Joy and Bellies Air Compressors.

Responsibilities:

  • determining equipment and facility specifications meet a facilities needs or standards
  • gathering and assessing blueprints, data and reports to develop conclusions that guide decision-making and planning processes
  • analyzing project costs and creating budgets per the allocation of resources
  • designing or overseeing facility expansions, layouts, quality controls and systems
  • assessing utilities and operational setups to optimize operational efficiencies
  • preparing facility reports and compliance records
  • planning and managing equipment and infrastructure maintenance work
  • recommending and overseeing contractors handling maintenance tasks
  • following facility regulations, safety standards and building codes
  • designing processing activities to optimize resources
  • predicting problems or risks and developing plans to avoid or mitigate them
  • supervising junior staff and training them on compliance and facility operations

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years experience of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and customer needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate both verbally and written quickly and effectively with all members of the shift and management. Must be capable of managing and training all shift personnel on an on-going basis.
