Menlo Park City School District is also committed to compliance with all fair employment practices regarding citizenship and immigration status.Requirements / QualificationsDESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the Principal and Director of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation is responsible for buildings, grounds, equipment and materials at a school; includes performing both custodian and maintenance duties. Works effectively with students, teachers, administrators and the general public EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Previous experience in custodial, light maintenance and/or gardening work is desirable. Evidence of ability to read procedures and instructions and learn routine duties rapidly must be demonstrated at the time of application. Training or experience in other building trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance is also desirable. EDUCATION: Equivalent of high school graduation, evidence of the ability to communicate fluently in the English language, both orally and in writing. A letter of introduction and resume.Comments and Other InformationThis is an on call position. Substitute custodians are called to cover absences of regular custodians.
