POSITION SUMMARY The primary purpose of Linen Distribution Supervisor position is to represent Crown Health Care Laundry on site by delivering clean linen carts to the floor, lead linen technicians to ensure linen is built and delivered correctly, Track and communicate necessary information to employees regarding production targets, achievements potentially picking up dirty linen and ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient. All linen must then be recorded for billing and accountability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage in-house inventory levels in each department: Exchange carts: Count all linen on the carts and bring them back up to the par level before delivering them On incoming carts, ensure that the par levels are on the cart and take them to their distribution point. Floor carts: Load inventory on carts to be distributed to the units Count all linen on unit carts and replace items to correct PAR levels Sign off on the unit cart checklist Record data utilizing the appropriate method (i.e. tablets, order sheets) During the day with exchange carts First thing go to the floors with the full, clean carts and bring down the carts that were used the day before. Return to the locations and make all the counts for the areas that don't have their own carts, inventory them, fill the order and take them back up to the floor. Fill up both carts and take them up there and re-stock to par level. During the day without exchange carts First thing build carts to take to units to rebuild unit carts Count all linen on unit carts and replace items to the correct PAR levels Record this data as mentioned above Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the inventory room at all times. This would include in some cases dust and wet moping the floors Lead staff daily while supervisor is present and or absent Handle all routine duties and special calls for linen Problems - running out of Linen - someone goes above usage, - contact Service Manager if linen supplies not sufficient in the inventory room. Converse with driver - see if there are any special needs. Spend considerable time with the account rep - collaborate on issues, inventory levels. Well represent our Company as well as the client's Company - exhibiting sound values. Must be able to build and maintain solid professional relationships. Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary. Implement and help establish procedures set up by Crown. Address any work related behavior that has a negative effect on our service to the hospital such as excess talking or not following directions given by the on-site distribution manager or Crown management. All such behavior must be reported to the on-site manager or Crown management QUALIFICATIONS The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation. Ability to accurately count and record data either by writing or computer input Computer Skills Accepting of new ideas High School Education or GED WORKING CONDITIONS Fast paced an Walking, pulling, pushing, sorting and lifting continuously Decision Making The following physical requirements are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position: Frequent walking during working hours. Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds Frequent reaching, bending, stooping and twisting Frequent pushing of a cart that may weigh 500 pounds Occasional sitting and working at a computer, or attending meetings Frequent counting and sorting
