Job Title: Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Test Technician. This role involves testing and validating new products, including modifications of standard products, new custom designs, and the application of standard products. The primary focus will be on Industrial and Alternative Energy products, which includes solutions in Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, BOS Cabling Solutions, Power Transmission and Distribution, Modular and Circular Connector, and Automated Charging Markets.

Responsibilities

+ Design and maintain fixtures, automation, and test setups.

+ Operate and maintain automation and custom test programming for equipment interaction using PLCs and/or LabVIEW.

+ Follow work instructions to perform lab equipment calibration and routine maintenance.

+ Communicate with technical staff, handle questions promptly, and explain decisions.

Essential Skills

+ Troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and electronics testing.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment.

+ Ability to read and understand international standards, test protocols, manuals, blueprints, and drawings.

+ Knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA70E, Shock & Arc-Flash Hazards.

+ Experience in the test field and general measurement technology, as well as handling measuring devices and testing machines.

+ Familiarity with International Standards from UL, IEC, VDE, DIN, ASTM, TV, and ANSI.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ AA degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience in industry or military training.

+ 2-4 years of experience in an Engineering lab or electro-mechanical equipment.

+ Experience in electrical connector or mechanical design preferred.

+ Experience with PLC/LabVIEW and Automation.

+ IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certification.
