Tallon is recruiting for a Full Stack Python Developer to work in support of advancing data analytics. Qualified candidates will have experience with Machine Learning and development working with Python, Databricks, PySpark and big data technologies. This is a full time direct hire opportunity working for our client.

Clearance: Current TS/SCI
Location: On-Site MacDill AFB or Crystal City
Relo: Support available
Travel: Occasional

Role and responsibilities include:
  • Support the program's mission to simplify solutions and enhance analytics capabilities
  • Work as part of a collaborative team supporting back-end development for a big data environment
  • Serve as a trusted resource to understand and maximize information in the customer's data-rich environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent years of related experience may be considered
  • 5 years of full stack development experience including:
        • 5 years of Python development experience
        • 5 years of experience with Object Oriented programming
        • 3 years of SQL experience
        • 3 years of experience working with BI visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau and Power BI
        • 2 years of experience working with Databricks
        • 2 years of experience working with PySpark/Pandas API on Spark (Koalas)
  • Working knowledge of data transformation
  • Experience with SIPR porting of data and programs
  • Experience with SIPR-domain programming
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative team environment interacting with government and contractor teams
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage tasks and deadlines
  • Availability to work on-site all days
  • Availability to support business travel
Preferred experience:
  • Experience with Machine Learning and interest in future analytics development is highly desired
  • Experience working with Software Design Patterns is preferred
  • Experience with Python Unit Testing is preferred
  • Experience working with Software Development UML Diagrams is a plus
  • Prior eperience with ADVANA is a plus
  • Experience with Agile development is a plus
  • Experience working with Jira is a plus
