Strong communication skills required to act as a liaison with peers and customers on a daily basis. Focus on overseeing a strong team and managing all inbound and outbound activity with energy, leadership, vision, support and professionalism.Major Duties and Responsibilities •Daily workload distribution and prioritization•Provide leadership and development to subordinates •Uphold all policies and procedures to the highest level •Focus on process and process improvement initiatives with a focus on quality •Attend daily calls with customers and focus on managing operational relationship •Motivate and encourage employees to achieve the highest level of success in the work place •Scheduling of all personnel •Ensure compliance of governing authorities •Look for creative means to provide a successful operation •Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills •Ensure inbound freight is offloaded in a timely, efficient and orderly manner and all customer KPIs are met and monitored•Ensure all freight is on handed and put away per required facility means utilizing all system technology and all customer KPIs are met and monitored •Strong focus on inventory management •Hold regular team huddles including department updates •Uphold an extremely clean and safe environment on a daily basis •Oversee a workboard and prioritize tasks accordingly •Other assignments as assigned by management Qualifications•Bachelors degree or equivalent •Five years logistics experience •Experience leading a team •Ideally able to twist, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis as needed in warehouse.Additional InformationExpeditors offers excellent benefits:Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick TimeHealth Plan: MedicalLife InsuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanTraining and Personnel Development ProgramGrowth opportunities within the companyEmployee Referral Program Bonus
