Job Summary

We are seeking a Wine Specialist to join our team As the Wine Specialist, you will be our resident wine expert. You will make wine recommendations to our guests, supervise the serving of our wine selection, and develop relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the winemaking & selling process.

Responsibilities:

Recommend wine pairings to customers

Describe various wines and their features to patrons

Plan and assist in wine tastings and events

Manage wine cellar and ensure bottles are properly stored

Educate staff on available wines

Build relationships with vendors and negotiate the best prices

Adhere to health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Sommelier is preferred

Sommelier certification or degree in hospitality is preferred

Extensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, and local vineyards

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work nights and weekends with occasional travel amongst companies and events
