An ideal candidate has planning, design, permitting, and construction experience in the water/ wastewater market for municipal and/or industrial clients. This position is an excellent opportunity to grow technical and project management knowledge, skills, and abilities for today's water and infrastructure focused environment.
Job Duties:
Assist in water/wastewater process and pipeline design projects for municipal and industrial clients.
Work on multi-discipline teams to complete water and wastewater planning, evaluation, design, and construction projects related to collection, conveyance, and distribution systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and asset upgrade/rehabilitation.
Assist with Civil/Process Engineering design projects including schematic/preliminary design, design development, final design, specifications, permitting, bid-phase services, and construction contract document production.
Participates in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
Field work may include water sampling, site inspection, and construction administration support including completing field observation reports.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work and interface well in a collaborative and detail-oriented project team environment.
Ensures that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
Possesses strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and analysis modules.
Performs moderate to water/wastewater/civil design tasks while delegating more routine tasks to staff with less experience.
General Characteristics
Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.
Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.
Applies principles of probability and statistics to determine risk relevant to engineering.
Minimum Years of Experience
4+
Education
B.S. or M.S. Environmental / Civil Engineering or related
Certification/Licensure
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification.
Technical Responsibilities

Prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents.
Performs research and field investigation.

Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others.
