Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for ECU Health Corporate Health clinical staff working in occupational health, worker's compensation and contracted positions in the community, including the groups and persons including the ECU Health Medical Group entities. The role includes oversight of RN's and clinic functions with a focus on clinical care and outcomes. The role will include the ability to perform as an Occupational Health Nurse in the work area in addition to the core leadership functions. The role will also perform any duties as directed by the Directors and Administrators in OH as required to meet the business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to ECUH team members to provide the highest quality occupational health nursing care possible.
  • Responsible to promote cooperative working relationships with other units and shifts, with other departments, with physicians and other staff, and with other management and administrative personnel.
  • Responsible to occupational health management and to the Administrator to be familiar with and to follow the chain of command.
  • Responsible to ECU Health to serve as a good will ambassador within the hospital and in the Community
  • Must work efficiently and effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Able to handle occupational health staff behavior and performance issues in a constructive manner.
  • Responsible and accountable achievement of operational and budgetary goals
Minimum Requirements
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • 4 year college degree is required- or higher.
  • Current NC RN licensure required.
  • OHN or Case Management training preferred.
  • Associates degree for 3 years of experience may be substituted for 4 year degree.
  • 5+ years experience Case Management or Occupational Health Supervisory experience preferred.
