The
Manufacturing Test Support Engineer at at a popular robotics manufacturing company -
addresses a wide array of different problems that the work will never feel stale or routine. You are going to be the first responder to issues that impact the test systems for the drive unit production lines
Shift : 2nd Shift - 3PM to 11:30PM (Monday - Friday)
During training the candidate will be on first shift: 6:30am -2:45 pm. Training is expected to take about 2 weeks.
Pay : 60-70K
Type : 11 Month Contract (potential to extend or go permanent)
Summary
This position will primarily focus on continuous improvement, root cause investigation, & support for manufacturing test systems. You will work closely with engineering, production, test engineers, and external vendors to deliver and support the highest quality products with the lowest cost.
Provide triage and investigation of novel manufacturing test issues on the production lines.
Analyze RMA units to determine failure root cause and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvements in both test and repair processes.
Deploy new or duplicate systems to support test, calibration, and component upgrades.
Develop and execute a test system maintenance strategy, including backups, quick installs, system upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery.
Assist with editing and validating test system work instructions.
Develop training plans for test operators.
Write scripts to automate manual computer tasks.
Debug and analyze wired and wireless networking issues.
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Use basic hand tools to replace and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.
Experience
BS or AAS in engineering with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Basic electrical equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Some foundational programing: LabVIEW, TestStand (open to other programming language) **Preferred not required**
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Knowledge and/or working experience with networking and wireless computer systems.
