Elitek, an LKQ Company, is at the forefront of getting drivers back on the road faster. Our experienced field technicians, combined with cutting-edge remote automotive diagnostic technologies, empower efficient automotive repairs adding value to our automotive repair customers.

A large segment of our workforce is comprised of Mobile Automotive Technicians, who operate from company vehicles to provide automotive repairs to our customers in markets throughout the U.S. We are looking for a looking for a Sr. HR Specialist with experience in Change Management that can help support and drive people first initiatives, while navigating the unique challenges that can arise while supporting a mobile workforce.

The Sr. HR Specialist will accelerate our organizational growth, develop our people, and improve our change dexterity with the goal of enhancing the employee experience. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of human resources practices and a proven track record in successfully navigating and implementing change within dynamic and high growth environments.

This is a hybrid position, ideally located in Antioch, TN or Plano, TX. Should the selected candidate not reside close to our offices, they will have the ability to work remotely. For those residing near our offices, they will be required to work on-site a minimum of two days per week.

Salary Range-$65,000 to $80,000, contingent upon the candidate's location.

Job Summary

Drives both immediate communications and long-term strategic change initiatives, ensuring initiates resonate across our mobile and onsite teams, enriching the employee experience and effectively communicating the 'case for change'. Provides guidance on human resources operational issues, employment law, and designs, implements and supports a variety of human resource programs in conjunction with Regional and/or Corporate Human Resources team. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and works in partnership with business management and HR Business Partner to develop programs and initiatives to meet management needs.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and support to onsite and mobile employees, and management through periods of change, fostering a positive and resilient work environment.
  • Collaborate with business leadership and HRBP to identify and assess the impact of changes on employees and the organization.
  • Assess employee readiness for changes, including identifying people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance; evaluate the results and present findings.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels with our onsite and mobile workforce to keep employees informed about changes and developments within the organization.
  • Drive an employee-centric mindset across the business, through the development and implementation of recruitment, retention, and engagement plans focused on reducing turnover and increasing employee morale.
  • Utilize HR analytics to assess the impact of change initiatives and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Activate a 'Change Network' of Change Agents at various levels of the organization to gather bi-lateral feedback, effectively drive change, understand change impacts, and better gauge the current tolerance for the rate of change.
  • Provide guidance on human resources operational issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs.
  • Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Support talent acquisition and/or onboarding functions and processes as needed. Assist in recruitment process steps such as sourcing, scheduling, employee selection, background checking, offer generation, onboarding, and record retention.
  • Support employee relations function and processes. Investigate employee complaints, facilitate actions to resolve employee issues and/or escalate them to the next level as appropriate, and ensure accurate and timely resolution and documentation of concerns or issues.
  • Assist in the management of leaves of absence, workers' compensation cases, and unemployment claims. Support other HR processes such as benefits enrollment, performance appraisals, and merit.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Education Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 4+ years of related human resources experience.
  • Proven experience in change management, organizational development, project management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a mobile workforce.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.
  • Certification in Change Management (CCMP).
  • Bilingual capability (English/Spanish in U.S., English/French in Canada)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration including federal and multi-state or province rules/regulations regarding Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • This position requires sitting and typing for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to details.
