Description

Bank of Luxemburg is hiring a Credit Analyst with 2-3 years of credit experience to join our team. If qualified candiates have 3+ years of experience they will be considered for a Credit Analyst II position (with a different pay scale). Please note this is not a remote position and will work out of our Luxemburg, WI office.

Position Summary :

As an employee of the Bank, supports company culture and mission statement to Have a Positive Impact on Peoples Lives. Reviews and analyzes corporate and individual tax returns and/or financial data to quantify and estimates the degree of risk associated with the extension of credit to both existing and prospective loan customers of the Bank. This position will prepare the loan presentation for use by lenders, senior management, loan committee and bank directors and comment on the various areas of the presentation at loan committee meetings. Recommends and verifies the appropriate risk rating of credit relationships.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

A. Develops credit presentations/reports on new, renewal and extension loans as well as developing the more complex loan presentations by performing the following duties:
Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other financial institutions, bank files and tracking the collection of tax returns and financial information from the appropriate lender.
Determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information and contacts appropriate sources for such information.
Verifies aggregate credit exposure to ensure Bank does not surpass legal lending limit.
Spreads and analyzes financial statements and related material.
Evaluates personal and business cash flow to determine repayment ability.
Analyzes collateral and its adequacy. Prepares internal real estate evaluations.
Recommends appropriate risk rating.
Presents facts and offers opinions concerning credit worthiness to Senior Vice President of Credit, Loan Officers and Chief Lending Officer.
Insures that the loan presentations are prepared in accordance with the Banks loan policy.
Occasionally accompanies loan officers on calls to existing and prospective clients to review financial information.

B. Attends and participates in the review of loan presentations in Loan Officers Loan Committee Meetings:
Presents credit information and areas of strengths and weaknesses regarding the pending loan(s).
Available to attend Board of Director Loan Committee meetings in absence of Senior Vice President of Credit.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and a minimum of two to three years credit and/or lending experience or equivalent experience. Proficient use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Possesses strong reasoning skills, time management skills, problem-solving and communication skills (both verbal and written). Is detail-oriented and has the ability to multi-task and work independently.
