Position Summary:

Title: Tester Standard II Automation Tester

Duration: 3 Months - Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20433

Hybrid Onsite: 4 Days onsite per week from Day1.

Essential Job Functions:

Verify & Validate process in terms of activities (testing, code inspection, etc.), methods, tools, etc.

Develop, maintain, and implement System/ UAT testing strategy, test plans, test processes, test scenarios, and test cases based on CMMI standards.

Create test estimation templates.

Identify test cases and those that can be automated.

Create and maintain a business requirement to test result mapping.

Develop scripts for each of the test cases for automation.

Create Test cases for System Tests, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

Execute the tests (either manually or through automation) multiple times, based on requirements.

Identify both functional and UI test cases and execute the same.

Perform both Black box and white box testing as required.

Share the test report and status of testing to the PM.

Provide support to testing, where required (UT, UAT, performance testing etc) and as per needs of the project.

Triage with the development/ build team and business users for retest and bug fixes.

Retest defects/ bugs and certify software eligible for next round or next phase of project.

Work with the various team members to triage defects and retest the fixes and promote to higher environments.

Ensure the quality of the work product (system) is of a high standard as defined in the Test Strategy document.

Align well with the overall project timelines and accordingly step up and execute the work.

Train staff to use Test automation suites/ products, such as Mercury, QTP etc., if required.

Document Standards and Guidelines for scripting.

Install guide and User manual for the test automation scripts.

Provide leadership and best practices experience for definition and implementation for the process area.

Provide guidance and support to Project Manager for implementing the defined process.

Provide necessary training to team members.

Reconcile data between source and target systems as part of data migration testing and production cut over.

Communicate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand/ clarify requirements.

Participate in PPQA reviews and audits of project activities and work products to ensure compliance with documented plans, procedures, and standards.

Provide technical information for Change Requests meetings.

Participate in systems requirement reviews and team meetings.

Participate in production support and troubleshooting.

Participate in collection and review of quantitative data related to software testing and development activities for measurement and analysis.

Identify, report, and manage defects in defect tracking system.

Provide regular updates to the Test/ Project Manager.

Provide testing status reports per Project requirements and provide input to Project Plans.

Identify and communicate risks to Project team.

Skills / Experience Required:

The QA Automation and Manual Tester should have a minimum of 6+ years of experience and will work under minimal supervision to test the cloud application and document the design the test strategy and method used to test the application. The tester shall work closely both with the business users and application build IT team. The person shall also work very closely with the other IT teams within the project and without, to meet the internal standards and guidelines for the said application.

Knowledge of Azure Test Plans and Azure DevOps is required.

Experience with software test suites like UFT, Selenium etc.

Ability to use collaborative skills to work with application managers, database administrators, system administrators, and other stakeholders.

Ability to use excellent listening and communication skills in order to surface issues related to the and TROs unique culture and organizational constraints that could impact how designed procedures work in practice.

High level of maturity to guide and select procedures that add value and comply with CMMI requirements.

Good understanding of technology environment, such as Azure, Azure SQL, MSSQL.
