Cashier - 3 Squares Eatery - The National Center for Employee Development

**Job Description** The Cashier plays a vital role in delivering a seamless guest experience at our all-you-can-eat buffet and dining restaurant. Located within a bustling hotel and conference center, this position requires a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented individual who can manage high-volume transactions, provide excellent customer service, and support the overall operations of the restaurant. **Job Responsibilities** Guest Service & Transactions o Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival. o Accurately process payments (cash, credit/debit, group vouchers and conference attendee packages) using POS systems. o Handle guest inquiries regarding pricing, meal options, and restaurant policies. o Provide receipts and ensure proper change is given. Operational Support o Monitor guest flow and communicate with hosts and servers to manage seating. o Assist with reservations, walk-ins, and large group functions. o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and front-of-house area. o Ensure signage, menus, and promotional materials are up-to-date and neatly displayed. Financial Accuracy o Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. o Report discrepancies or issues to management promptly. o Follow all cash handling and financial control procedures. Team Collaboration o Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth guest experiences. o Support other front-of-house duties as needed during peak hours or special events. o Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Previous cashier or customer service experience in a hospitality or food service setting preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
