Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 Tuesday-Thursday in office Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for all credit and collection activity for dealers in assigned customer portfolio. Daily Maintenance of account portfolio and customer requests. Monitor aging of assigned portfolio. Identify high risk / delinquent accounts and ensure appropriate collection action was taken. Action includes but is not limited to placing orders on hold and contacting customer for payment via email, fax, and/or phone. Accessing customer portals to obtain data and information. Document customer contact and collection actions taken. Make recommendations on accounts receivable reserve for accounts within assigned portfolio. Provide input when placing accounts with a collection agency or third party attorney. Facilitate monthly team calls with sales. Prepare and distribute data on high risk accounts for monthly calls. Notify sales of delinquent accounts and any actions being taken. Develop customer relationships and understand how customer fits into Company strategy. Possess knowledge of credit security instruments and have ability to approach customers for security and financial statements as needed. Capture deductions and deduction details from customer AP portal sites or check remittance, analyze, create reports to manage and communicate & take appropriate action to resolve high deductions and challenging accounts Maintain up-to-date spreadsheets of remaining deduction balances. Create special reports for sales to communicate specific deduction types as required for customer meetings. Perform account reconciliation as needed. Identify deduction patterns and possible operation issues as needed and assist in solution development with sales and customer teams for high and complex accounts. Recommend reserve for uncollectable deductions Respond to inbound customer, customer care, and sales escalation calls related to inquiries including but not limited to accounts receivable balance, past due issues, and credit limits. Review and analyze credit service bureau reporting regularly and recommend changes to credit limit or collection activities as needed. Build relationships with dealers in portfolio. Review and understand customer financial statements. This will include reviewing and analyzing customer's balance sheets and income statements to determine appropriate risk and credit lines. Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills/Knowledge Required:

Working knowledge of credit security instruments Ability to approach customers for security and financial statements as needed Ability to assess financial risk and discuss with Credit Management, Sales Team and the customer. Strong working knowledge of credit/collections methods and tools Intermediate knowledge of customer portals and deduction management / resolution Intermediate financial analysis skills Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present data for reporting Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Proactive and resourceful. Able to work through and perform tasks independently Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business. Minimum five years’ experience required in credit and collection, finance, or treasury Minimum one-year experience with high volume deduction accounts Credit Management Certification preferred.
