Qualifications

SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
  1. Ensures that Banquet Rooms are set up before functions, according to the specifications contained in the Banquet and Catering Order.
  2. Communicates with culinary and beverage staff to ensure the availability of ordered items and coordinates entire Banquet to ensure guest satisfaction with food service and audio-visual needs.
  3. Serves courses from kitchen promptly, while ensuring the proper presentation prior to serving, or, if appropriate, replaces items on the buffet as they are used.
  4. Breaks down of Banquet Rooms after functions are completed.
  5. Monitors Banquets to ensure that guest's expectations are exceeded and responds appropriately to any additional requests that may be made.
  6. Be TIPS certified and practice this knowledge on a daily basis.
  7. May be required to assist in other areas/departments as needed.
PREREQUISITES

General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Non-Gaming License.

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Experience: Food service and banquet experience, with knowledge of the sequence of service and banquet room procedures, preferred. Must demonstrate acceptable guest service skills and be able to perceive each guest's needs and wants to ensure a positive experience.

Physical: Must be able to stand and exert rapid mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must have a good sense of balance, hearing and vision in the normal range, ability to bend and kneel, and have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
