Memorial Hospital 500 London Ave Marysville, OH 43040, USA We are looking for an RN to join our Pre-admission Testing team In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn how to do the clinical and clerical pieces of patient care to better support the patients experience. In this role you will: Conduct pre-operative assessments through in-person, virtual, or phone encounters. Reviews and verifies medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and prior surgical/anesthetic experiences. Orders and/or facilitates necessary diagnostic tests such as lab work, EKGs, imaging, and consultations per established protocols. Identifies risk factors and escalates concerns to appropriate team members, including requesting additional clearances. For example: cardiology and pulmonology. Provides patients and families with detailed pre-operative instructions, including medication management, fasting guidelines and day-of-surgery logistics. Documents all assessments and communications in Epic in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Supports the PAT clinic workflow through effective time management, prioritization, and teamwork. Assists with workflow/process improvement initiatives to enhance clinic efficiency and patient experience. Complies with all applicable regulatory guidelines, infection control practices, and safety procedures. Completion of RN degree. 2 years experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Personal computer, data entry, and communication skills. Acquire American Heart Association BLS in 60 days.
