**What Smithers-Oasis has to offer:**

* **HOURS: Typical full-time 1st shift hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:30am to 5:00pm. Overtime hours will be required based on business needs.**

* **PAY: Starting pay is $17.50/hour, based on experience.**

**Some Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Shipping/Receiving Clerk & Shuttle Truck Driver include (but are not limited to):**

* Drives company owned shuttle truck to and from Kent, Ohio and Akron, Ohio warehouses and facilities, ensuring safe transport following all safety procedures and policies.

* Maintains valid drivers license and clear driving record, following all company policies for operating a company-owned vehicle.

* Loads and unloads shipments to and from the company involving lifting, carrying, and the use of carts, hand material movers, lift trucks, etc.

* Completes all paperwork pertaining to shipments, receipts, transfers, etc.

* Use RF system to complete inventory transactions as needed.

* Properly stores or prepares shipments to and from the company according to established procedures.

* Inspects, verifies quality and quantity of received goods using prescribed criteria.

* Performs stock rotation of received goods in storage areas.

* Stage and verify quantity and correctness of product on all orders.

* Process bill of lading and packing slips for customer orders.

* Assists in cycle counts as directed by the Inventory & Technical Coordinator.

* Participates in the year-end inventory.

* Bundle or prepare packages for parcel shipments

* Follows established safety procedures and informs Management of any unsafe conditions.

* Cleans and maintains work areas.

* Removes, moves, or stores materials in warehouses according to established procedures.

* Properly maintains records and/or shipping totals.

* Performs duties in a business like and courteous manner, especially while making contact with suppliers, customers, and truck drivers.

* Maintains accuracy of inventory.

* Performs other duties as directed.

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

* Must have a high school diploma. Must also be able to accurately perform basic math calculations.

* Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record based on company-established guidelines. *****CDL NOT required.*****

* At least six months experience operating in a warehouse or shipping environment. Experience using current technical equipment like RF and narrow aisle warehouse guided equipment.

* Requires a high level of initiative and good judgment. Needs experience operating a personal computer. Must be capable of working in a low-supervised environment and follow detailed instructions and procedures. Requires good interpersonal skills to interface with customers.

* Security of warehouses, facilities, and grounds by operating gates, setting alarm systems and responsible for facility distributed keys. Operation and daily maintenance check of forklifts and shipping vehicles. Attentiveness is required to prevent injury to self or others, and equipment and product damage.

* Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure workflow and make necessary changes to eliminate bottlenecks.

* Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. A considerable amount of muscular effort is needed to complete some tasks. A high level of activity and stress is present at certain times of the day.

* Frequent exposure to fumes, dust, and noise. Must be capable of dealing with undesirable climates and hazardous chemicals. To complete duties and responsibilities overtime may be required.
