Position Description

The incumbent will provide total system of systems mission level analysis, synthesis, simulation, and design necessary to support Effects Chain assessment, Fleet Kill Chain Analysis, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) for the Surface, Strike, and/or Electronic Warfare (SUW/STW/EW) Mission Areas. Will document technical SUW/STW/EW sensor, weapon and platform interface data used in the assessment of SUW/STW/EW warfighting effectiveness and interoperability and identify integrated warfighting capability gaps and recommend solution options to meet mission requirements across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) with particular attention to Material and Doctrine solutions. Required to interact with multiple Program Managers, Technical Program Offices, OPNAV, Fleet Forces Command, SYSCOMs, Fleet element commanders, Warfare Development Centers & Component Command leadership. Will integrate information from multiple efforts (e.g., analyses, testing, modeling & simulation, and engineering design) to formulate recommendations for courses of action and investment strategies to meet warfighting requirements. Will conduct capability gap assessments, trade-off studies, analyze/interpret technical program requirements, and perform SoS techniques/analysis, studies. Will apply analytical techniques, computational methods, systems engineering, and horizontal integration, to support a detailed understanding and knowledge of integrating and employing weapon systems across multiple delivery platforms. Will decompose requirements, ensure requirements are being met, and set forth criteria for requirement verification. Will provide support to the SETR and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, & Execution (PPBE) processes. Basic knowledge of Systems of Systems integration and interoperability; tactical aircraft systems and employment; and M&S design, execution, and analysis is desired, specifically the understanding of electronic countermeasures, electronic attack/support, tactical aircraft sensors and weapons, and ideally, prior experience with modeling tools

Knowledge of system engineering, and/or data analysis is required. The incumbent shall have effective written and oral communication skills and will work independently at times, as well as within teams from Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), NAVAIR and external Navy, Joint, and/or other DoD organizations. The incumbent will support projects of small to large size which will have far reaching impact to the warfighter and to improving SoS, weapons/aircraft, and missions.
