Job Description: Rebate Associate

Company Overview: Green Water and Power is an energy services company headquartered in Los Angeles, operating in over 20 states. As a national provider of energy service infrastructure, GWP's in-house experts specialize in designing, constructing, and maintaining solar and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for businesses across the country.

Position Overview: The Rebate Associate is responsible for documenting contracts with various rebate programs, including CALeVIP, LADWP, CIC, etc. This role involves monitoring sales activity within these agreements, handling accruals, and processing rebate claims promptly. The Rebate Associate ensures compliance with rebate programs by preparing rebate submittals and related documentation for submission. The rebate associate is also responsible for communicating with the various rebate agencies on the status of applications and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for rebate contracts with various programs (e.g., CALeVIP, LADWP, CIC).
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely submission of rebate claims.
  • Monitor and analyze sales activity to ensure compliance with rebate agreements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the accrual process to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely rebate payments.
  • Process rebate claims efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to rebate claims promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all rebate programs and processes adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaison with rebate program representatives on status of various rebate submissions and monitor rebate expiration dates and deadlines.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each rebate program, including application process, documentation requirements, payment process, and rebate program terms and conditions
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and partners to enhance the effectiveness of rebate programs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of rebate management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in rebate management, finance, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to rebate programs.
  • Experience with automation tools and systems for rebate management is a plus.
