Shift is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Commercial Truck Driver. In this role you will load, transport, and off-load Shift vehicles at various locations to ensure the right vehicle is in the right place at the right time for our internal teams and Shift customers. This position performs intrastate travel within the state of California.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

* 1 - 3 years of trucking experience (Preferred)

* High school diploma or GED equivalent (Preferred)

* Car hauling experience (Preferred)

* Valid state-issued commercial drivers license Class A (CDL)

* Maintain a current USDOT Medical card

* Clean driving record with no penalty points within the last three years

* Must be able to drive a 10-speed manual transmission

* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

* Excellent communication skills

* 21+ years old

**Responsibilities**

* Local CDL Drivers are responsible for the transportation of vehicles from one SHIFT HUB or Recon Center to another.

* Local CDL Drivers are expected to drive routes that are local, typically within a 200 mile radius and consist of an 8-10 hour work day.

* Maintain DVIRs (Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports) pre-pick up and post-drop off to ensure federal vehicle safety guidelines are met.

* Maintain all necessary USDOT logs and documentation.

* Track and report working hours through the vehicle equipped ELD device.

* Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions

* Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery of vehicles

* Lift heavy objects and secure transported vehicles on to a 3 car hauler

* Communicate with dispatch as needed

* Drivers are not expected to stay overnight while on assignment
