Shift Timings: Night Shift 18:45 - 07:15 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Looking for highly motivated nurses to help with this PCU Heart Failure Unit.
  • You will care for a variety of heart transplant and VAD patients.
  • Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
Minimum Qualifications
  • Unit Capacity: 36 Beds
  • Population Served: Cardiac and Neuro Stepdown Cardiac bedside monitoring, Cardiac drips, TR bands, Post heart caths, Stroke/Neuro patients, BIPAP overflows
  • Ages of Patients Served :Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)
  • Nurse to Patient Ratios 1:6
  • Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include:Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).
  • An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients
  • Required a minimum of 1 year of Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Caridac Telemetry experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
