Title: Machinist II
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
Shift: 1st Shift (M-F 6am-2:30pm) flexible to work weekends, or move to second shift (2pm-10:30pm)

Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
Calculate and set controls to regular machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
Be able to operate all machine tools as required.
Use of advanced trade mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, all varieties of precision measuring instruments, and multi-machine work stations.

Qualification:
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 5 years of Manual and CNC Machining experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience reading Prints, Mics, and Calipers
Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.
