If you said "YES" to all of the above, then you're in luck - Good Earth Tools is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to add to our innovative Production Support team In this fast-paced, exciting role, you will:
  • Plan and design manufacturing tools to improve production processes
  • Maintain an accurate database of all relevant production details and data
  • Analyze assembly, fabrication, machining, brazing and other processes
  • Maximize efficiency by optimization of workflow, and assembly methods
  • Determine the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
  • Develop alternative methods of making manufacturing practices more efficient and cost effective; look at space constraints, material requirements and current needs in order to propose improvements
  • Provide hands on technical support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing processes for both new and existing products
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff on creation, installation, modification, and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Work to provide solutions to leadership when presented with manufacturing concerns
  • May conduct time and cost analysis of processes
  • Draft and produce manufacturing drawings for process improvement initiatives using AutoCad and SolidWorks
  • Serve as the project manager for process improvement initiatives to ensure the project is completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Continue to develop professional expertise by participating in classes, conferences, and other developmental opportunities
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering may be substituted for related experience
  • Experience using SolidWorks is required
  • Previous project management experience is preferred
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Must have experience collaborating with multiple departments

Physical Demands:
  • The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move parts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
