Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java and MongoDB, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
  • Create and integrate responsive frontend interfaces using React, enhancing user experience and engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software within Agile frameworks.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues, optimizing performance and ensuring the reliability of applications.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying updated on emerging technologies and development practices, advocating for their adoption where beneficial.
  • Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years (for senior roles) and 5 years (for mid-level roles) in software development, with a focus on backend technologies and some frontend development experience.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Backend Development: Advanced knowledge of Java and experience with MongoDB.
    • Frontend Development: Proficiency in React, capable of implementing user-friendly interfaces.
    • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS services, understanding best practices for scalable and secure applications.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the financial services sector, with a solid understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory environments.
  • Agile Methodologies: Demonstrated experience in Agile development practices, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development process.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks that complement our tech stack.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to mentor junior developers.
