The successful candidate will be responsible for not only financial reporting, analysis of operations, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations but will be required to cross train with their direct supervisor. This role incorporates responsibility for Year-End close in the current system. The position will provide support and work closely with internal and external auditors, ensuring proper accounting policies and classification of accounts to maintain a consistent and accurate P&L. This role will need to be able to analyze data to reach supportable conclusions and business recommendations. Assistance with special projects as needed. The Advantage Accounting Team is key to SE’s current and future growth.

The team works collaboratively with multiple functional areas of the business and is required to understand the impacts within.

This position requires someone with a strong curiosity to learn, build strong business relationships and add value everyday through continuous improvement. The candidate is a strategic, process-driven problem solver who can proactively execute at a high level and effectively collaborate with stakeholders within and outside of the organization. Key Responsibilities

Manage direct report(s) Provide daily oversight for cash reporting and Advantage fixed assets/rental assets transactions Responsible for oversight of multiple corporate ledgers with varying degree of difficulty for month end close of the financials, journal entries and all account reconciliation’s Review and provide accurate and timely financial information to company management Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions based on accounting policies Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding items on a timely basis Analyze large amount of data to ensure that fixed assets are capitalized and the associated revenues/COGS are correct as SE applies Operating Lease Accounting for internal reporting and Finance Lease Accounting for external reporting Assist in debt compliance reporting led by the Treasury Department Review of bank reconciliations Collaborate with different functional teams to actively contribute to a disciplined financial statement close Query data extractions from financial system and perform analysis, drive change and automation Maintain process documentation and ensure SOX compliance Identify areas for improvement and lead change initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and SOX controls Assist FP&A group in budgeting and analysis requirements Assist with internal and external audits and data requests for US and Canadian tax returns Desired Skills and Qualifications Education and Experience: Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA designation strongly preferred Must understand full cycle accounting Strong analytical skills Min 3 years related work experience Strong Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUP’s & If Statements) Comfortable working in various software systems Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities: Candidate must be a team player Ability to understand complex processes Ability to work with minimum supervision, takes ownership of assigned tasks Possess ability to communicate information in a concise and clear manner Reliable, driven, self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Willing to work beyond normal scheduled work hours as necessary Detail oriented, deadline driven, organized individual able to handle multiple tasks while working independently or as part of a team across multiple departments Must be flexible and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities Highly motivated and dedicated to contributing to the growth and success of the company Good understanding of GAAP/IFRS What Do We Offer You as a Service Experts Employee?
