TIG Welder

JOB TITLE: Fabricator/TIG Welder REPORTS TO: Operations ManagerNUMBER OF OPEN POSITIONS: 1 LOCATION: GalionDEPARTMENT: Fabricating SALARY RANGE: DOEGENERAL SUMMARY:Perform all cutting, welding, and fitting duties required by applying appropriate welding techniques asdesignated by Brothers Body and Equipment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:? Works under general supervision.? Welds flat, cylindrical, or irregular parts that are clamped, tacked, or otherwise positioned.? Observes welding action for compliance with procedures.? Visually examines welds for adherence to specifications.? Layout, fit, and tack workpieces together.? Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening andbending machines.? Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequenceand methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.? Selects gauge and type of sheet metal such as galvanized steel, stainless steel, oraluminum according to product specifications.? Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and tracepatterns of product or parts, or uses templates.? Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smooths surfaces.? Welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds component parts to assembleproducts.? Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.? Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.? Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gaswelding equipment.? Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:? Good written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and attention todetail.? Ability to work well in a team environment and to effectively interface with the client andteam members.? Knowledge of general manufacturing process.? At least 2-4 years of experience in the welding field.? Familiar with standard welding concepts, practices, and procedures.EDUCATION:? High school degree. #time123
