PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY: Located less than a one-hour drive to Indianapolis, two Ob/Gyn physicians are needed to join a community hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Center. They are all part of a well-regarded health-care system. They currently have five Ob/Gyn physicians, two Nurse Practitioners, two Sonographers, and a Phlebotomist who provide Clinic support. Callis currently 1:5 with a weekend and holiday rotation. However, call will be 1:7 when they hire two additional Ob/Gyn physicians. The work schedule will be fully discussed. Their 17 bed Birthing Center is supported by nurses cross-trained to provide labor/delivery, postpartum, & newborn care. It provides a full range of baby delivery services welcoming over 1,200 babies each year. Each LDRP room is equipped with state-of the-art equipment and is on the same level as a designated C-Section OR suite. The Birthing Center offers two levels of nursery care and includes a physician lounge equipped with a screen for fetal monitoring of each patient. As an Ob/Gyn physician with this healthcare system, you would join a network encompassing many specialties. You will also receive administrative support allowing you to focus on patient care and service. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and inpatient services, rehabilitation services, surgical services, and laboratory and diagnostic services. Hospitalists work as partners with their primary care physicians. In addition, Physician Liaisons provide support with marketing and new patient referrals.
