Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Willows, CA
Summary:
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a small, community-oriented skilled nursing facility in Willows, CA, to find a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA to make a positive impact on the lives of residents, assisting them in regaining mobility, strength, and independence through personalized therapy programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities:
Assist in Evaluations: Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting comprehensive assessments to identify residents' physical limitations, functional deficits, and rehabilitation goals.
Implement Treatment Plans: Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
Provide Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver various interventions, including exercise programs, gait training, and modalities, to promote functional improvement and pain reduction.
Monitor Progress: Track and document residents' progress, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Educate and Support: Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and adaptive techniques to promote independence and prevent further decline.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California.
Experience:
New graduates are welcome to apply.
Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.
Strong clinical skills and understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
