Inventory Control Technician

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Technician oversees IT asset inventory, performs audits, manages hardware distribution, decommissions assets, and supports department with various IT support projects. This role requires experience in asset management, strong organizational skills, and occasional on-site asset transport. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required. INVENTORY CONTROL TECHNICIANS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining asset inventory within an IT support environment using database and SharePoint systems for tracking Perform routine audits to ensure accuracy and availability for various types of hardware to include desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other misc. items Quarterly receiving and distribution to various company-wide departments Interface with customers and team members daily for product fulfillment Daily communication and organizational duties using MS Office products, various internet browsers, Webex and Microsoft Teams for chat and conferencing Decommissioning of company assets using detailed procedures & protocol Working within a team environment during core hours to meet SLA metrics Occasional site visits and transporting assets within a campus location/environment - mileage reimbursement is provided Maintaining PC loaner inventory to include inventory count, tracking & PC imaging Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision during core hours M-F, 8am to 5pm THE IDEAL PERSON FOR FILL THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS: Experience with PC & accessory asset management Knowledge of computers, accessories, and internal components Familiarity with PC imaging and system updates is a plus Ability to follow scripted processes and adhere to established standards Good verbal & written communication Strong organizational skills, and ability to contribute to a team environment Ability to multi-task and successfully negotiate high level escalations Experience using an TSM (Trouble Shooting Management) ticketing system for incident/request tracking Experience with FEDEX Ship Manager or similar systems is a plus ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ROLE: The selected individual must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, be able to meet company's insurance coverage requirements, and have their own vehicle in acceptable working condition Pay grade: 17 View our benefits and pay grade information here: https://marketing.mytsp.net/tsp-benefits Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States WE ARE TSP TSP is award-winning, customer-endorsed, and minority-owned.
