Description ANNUAL SALARY: STARTING AT $115,760POSITION SUMMARYThe Digital Media Manager will support the Office of Public Affairs and Communication by conceiving, producing and publishing multimedia content; managing DCHA's social media platforms; coordinating across internal departments to communicate agency-wide information; collaborating with customer-facing departments and external stakeholders to formulate and implement strategies that enhance customer engagement; and assisting with press conferences and other public events.All activities must support the District of Columbia Housing Authority's (DCHA)'s strategic goals and objectives and produce the results that accomplish the goals of the Office of Public Affairs and Communications (OPAC).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.•Manage and oversee DCHA's presence on social media platforms; monitor social media mentions.•Coordinate with internal and external partners to develop social media campaigns.•Create, curate and manage content for social media use, including designing and publishing posts, monitoring and moderating engagement, and responding to customer inquiries.•Collect, analyze and interpret engagement data to inform the refinement of existing and development of new social media campaigns.•Establish short- and long-term social media strategy that enhances the DCHA brand and reputation.•Operate still-photo camera, video camera and smartphone to capture imagery.•Build and manage social media, photo and video archives.•Support the website manager with ongoing website updates and maintenance.•Shoot high-quality still photography for use in internal and external DCHA presentations; DCHA website and social media platforms; print and digital marketing materials; and other publication needs.•Capture video of DCHA real estate developments and events, including stakeholder functions, community engagements, resident meetings and activities, and other•Collaborate with internal departments to generate opportunities for multimedia storytelling.•Translate policies, procedures, and data into easy-to-understand social media posts.•Produce and edit multimedia packages for use as internal company announcements and trainings, promotional reels, social media marketing, explainer videos and other projects.•Assign and monitor work of subordinate employees.•Maintain and manage cameras and other audiovisual equipment.•Monitor the media marketplace to stay up-to-date on the latest tools and software.•Contribute meaningfully to communications strategy, brand identity and other discussions.•Clearly and effectively communicate with DCHA staff and stakeholders.•Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, media or other related field, and at least two years' related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience which meet the minimum qualifications requirement may be substituted.
