Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the estimating team, including senior estimators, estimators, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement in estimating processes and methodologies. Bid Strategy and Analysis:

Develop and implement bid strategies and pricing models to effectively compete for construction projects in the marketplace. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to solicit competitive bids and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Clearly communicate project pricing, value propositions, and competitive advantages to differentiate the company and win new business opportunities. Collaborate with sales, business development, and executive leadership to develop winning strategies and proposals. Risk Management and Mitigation:

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and uncertainties associated with project estimation and bidding processes. Conduct thorough risk analysis, including constructability reviews, site evaluations, and subcontractor evaluations. Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and maximize profitability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction estimating, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing estimating functions. Proficiency in construction estimating software, such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, WinEst, or equivalent, with advanced knowledge of computerized estimating systems and databases. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications accurately. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and negotiate favorable outcomes. Strategic thinking, business acumen, and financial literacy, with a focus on driving profitability, growth, and competitive advantage in the construction marketplace.
