We are looking for **Category Buyers (Indirect)** to join our rapidly growing team. This role will be split between our new offices in Reading (2-3 days per week) and remote working.

**What you will do:**

The indirect purchasing function is growing and there are opportunities across all categories including **I.T & professional services and Logistics, packaging, and engineering services.** As Category Buyer you will be required to build effective and sustainable relationships with suppliers and assist with the implementation of the Volta procurement strategy and vision.

* Understand the market to research and identify potential suppliers

* Work with suppliers to ensure optimum cost and product solutions

* You will be involved with sourcing activity i.e., RFQs

* Assist in developing robust service level agreements

* Strategic sourcing activities for specified commodities

**We would like you to have:**

* Previous experience of indirect purchasing ***I.T, professional services, engineering services, logistics or packaging***

* Experienced within negotiation, strategic sourcing and contract management

* Experience within automotive manufacturing is desirable but not essential

* Strong problem solving and communication skills

* Can work proactively with minimal guidance and be self-motivated to travel and potentially work remotely
