Brief Description The Customer Service Representative will be intimately involved with customers as advocate and representative. In this role, you will provide information to customers in response to inquiries about order status along with developing and maintaining customer relationships by handling customer questions and concerns in a timely manner. This position will work collaboratively with the internal plant and sales team to deliver exceptional customer service support and promote customer loyalty. Responsibilities: Serves as point of contact to outside customers and must ensure a timely response to customer issues as encountered by creating a seamless customer experience through collaboration with supply chain. Work with scheduling to prioritize customer needs. Order management, including order acknowledgements, proactively communicating changes to orders, and work with the plant team to update the customer with reliable information on order status. Reviews open order report regularly to understand orders in the system by customer and compare to customer forecast, where applicable. Submit new and updated customer information to update the customer master database. Manage order entry to ensure all orders have been entered. Work with internal teams to ensure changes have been made accordingly. Assist customers with VMI demands and needs. Participate in discussions with customers to better understand the customer's overall demand and order plans. Responsible for adhering to and supporting all quality, safety, production goals and requirements. Support continual improvement within the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Adept at handling difficult customer situations. Proficient with MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems. The ability to handle complex issues in a professional and calm manner. Analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail. Superb time management skills. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Education And Work Experience Preferred: 1+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
