Senior Manager, Data Product and Portfolio

In This Role you Will 1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures. 2. Oversees technical product management activities for multiple technical data products, with cross-divisional impact. Drives the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution. 3. Influences and collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience. Ensures business outcomes are linked to business case drivers. 4. Provides guidance and coaches technical data product teams towards best practices and learnings. Oversees data product teams' support of the messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary. 5. Facilitates strong business support through working with team members to promote a consistent approach to decisions/impacts and client propositions. Drives connection across all appropriate internal and external stakeholders. 6. Leads the planning, development and implementation of new technical data products with cross-divisional impact. Defines and analyzes markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans. 7. Influences and employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience. 8. Participates in and influences ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities. 9. Drives the team’s engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. 10. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. What it Takes Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred. Minimum of eight years related business experience. Three years ofleading large cross-functional teams onmajor organizational projects preferred. Previous people-leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience building Data Products Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
