Position Summary:

Under the Head of Product Development, the Senior Design Engineer is a passionate and talented product development team member with the responsibility to accomplish challenging design and engineering tasks, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest level of quality and performance. The Senior Design Engineer will work within the product development team and will have responsibilities within Idea generation and design development, Product development, and Design thinking and execution efforts.

Responsibilities: Lead and manage design and engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Responsible for all industrial design/UX activities such as design research user needs assessments, design ideation, concept development, CAD, prototyping, user interaction design, & human factors engineering. Provide expert guidance and support on complex design and engineering issues, leveraging advanced knowledge and experience in the field. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives with the design and engineering team, identifying opportunities for process optimization and technical advancements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, marketing, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of design and engineering solutions. identify potential risks and challenges in design and engineering projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies as well as carrying projects through the QMS system from idea to product, including creating comprehensive design documentation specifications, drawings, technical reports, and maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle. Aid in design thinking efforts, providing foundational knowledge and execution of design thinking, human centered design, user experience design, and human factors design to help educate and implement these disciplines both externally to our innovators and health systems as well as internally within our product development efforts. Requirements:

B.A. or higher in Industrial Design 6+ years of relevant work experience preferred. 6+ years of experience with 3D development software tools. Solid understanding of engineering. Design, and marketing issues/ needs related to product design and development. Proficiency in Microsoft suite and Adobe Suite. Experience in working within an entrepreneurial, market and innovation driven environment preferred. Other details
