Must be willing to live/work in the location above. This is not a remote/telework opportunity. Altimeter Solutions, LLC (Altimeter), is a technical consulting firm that specializes in providing its clients the highest quality analytical/technical consultative services possible. Altimeter’s mission is to provide clients with proven professional solutions/services that represent the uppermost levels of industry technical competencies and value. Altimeter Solutions holds a Top Secret facility clearance and places contract and permanent technical resources with prime vendors for the DoD and other Federal government branches nationwide. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Knowledgeable/Capable of dispositioning electrical/PWB/SMT hardware related defects against IPC standards/criteria. Ability to understand and execute QMS/command media requirements to AS9001 standards. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field data. Further investigate the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Leads material review board, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and ZDP (Zero Defect Plans) activities. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Serves as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality related matters. Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of related quality engineering experience (Industrial or Manufacturing Electrical components engineering). Knowledgeable/Capable of dispositioning electrical/PWB/SMT hardware related defects against IPC standards/criteria. Knowledgeable of J-Standards. Nice to Haves: IPC Certification nice to have but not required. Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and ZDP (Zero Defect Plans) activities.
