We are excited to bring together two of our most beloved restaurant brands under one roof, Applebee's and IHOP. The Manager, Field Marketing will develop data-driven marketing strategies and foster strong franchisee partnerships that drive profitable sales and traffic growth. They will serve as the brand champion in cascading information pertaining to national marketing strategic plans and is responsible for successfully garnering franchisee support for national initiatives. Additionally, this individual creates and implements DMA-level marketing and media plans designed to drive profitable traffic and sales in assigned markets, plus assists franchisees in the development of trade area marketing plans. The Field Marketing Manager works collaboratively as part of an integrated team that includes members from Operations, Marketing, and Training departments.

Analyze financial data through the use of Alteryx workflows and Excel Macros in VBA in a timely and efficient manner. Work with a finance team that is motivated to achieve results while focusing on Dine's core values.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Run and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows which take franchisee income statements and map them to a standardized income statement
    • Run and troubleshoot Excel macros and queries that aggregate various types of financial data from these income statements
  • Run and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows which take labor efficiency metric data from franchisees and map them to a standardized format
  • Calculate royalty and advertising credits for each restaurant based on delivery incentive program (monthly) and delivery service program (quarterly)
    • Entails gathering and aggregating data from appropriate sources, and running Alteryx workflows as well as Excel macros to process the data
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts reports
  • Other duties include assisting Finance Director with various initiatives and tasks, including updating and maintaining trackers related to Applebee's franchisees (i.e. for letters of credit, guarantees, promissory note balances, restaurant remodels, debt leverage, debt maturity, restaurant closures, poorly performing restaurants, etc), and other ad hoc projects
Skills & Requirements

**In-depth experience with and knowledge of VBA, writing and troubleshooting Excel macros and queries, AND Alteryx workflows**
  • Create macros without using the Record function built into Excel
  • Experience reading established VBA scripts (including troubleshooting loops) and debugging a macro if script crashes/fails
  • Ability to declare variables (VBA), potentially identifying and modifying new or existing DIMs
  • Solid experience in building Alteryx workflows to efficiently generate and transpose data from various sources to a standardized data format
  • Create and manipulate pivot tables; use 'Power Query Editor' function in Excel to transform data
  • Write advanced formulas and create charts/graphs in Excel
  • Strong time management and organization skills; demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, strong communication skills, take initiative and look for efficient solutions
  • Understanding of and experience with P&Ls preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Target base salary 80k+
